i agree. rap is, by far, one of the worst genres in our culture. that is, mainstream rap is. all of it sounds the same. all of it is crap. but then again, there are songs that actually have a meaning to their lyrics. for example, some of the oldies are pretty sweet.

I listen to everything for real. My taste in music is hella random. I mostly listen to Underground/oldschool hip hop and Neo Soul but im also a big fan of reggaeton, dancehall, and indie rock. after that i also listen to bachata, merengue, techno, funk, and jus realli random crap. MUSIC IS LIKE AIR TO ME!! i would definitely die without it

All of you idiots who slam rap, the same can be said for rock. Mainstream rock is fucking garbage.... all those emo and numetal groups are absolute shit. There hasn't been a solid mainstream rock band since the early 90s.

I love all types of music, but I especially love rap, hip hop, rock, and metal. I weird combination, I know, but that is my main staple for music. I like some of the more underground stuff as well as mainstream. A good underground rap group is gangstarr, with some really good, meaningful songs like "Moment of Truth" and "Above the Clouds", while I also like Black Eyed Peas (Pump It is my favorite). I alos like Interpol, U2, Ladysmith Black Mombazo, and Kanye West, among others.
